Not to mention she accused my sister of hitting her car door with our car door and "waking her up." HOW RUDE CAN YOU GET! We then got pressured by the owner to RUSH RUSH RUSH down to get our mani/pedis only to be split up. My friend got pestered over and over and over again to get her hair washed even though she said NO! When we got our massages my masseuse didn't even massage me under the blanket! left it on and massaged over it. My sister had an allergic reaction to the facial and broke out all over her face and neck. Body scrubs were great and facials were okay. After booking this 2 months in advance, we get to the salon and EVERYTHING went wrong! one of the girls was always left sitting and waiting. We are all busy lawyers, CPAs, ,and Moms! So hard to coordinate time of course. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Bought the groupon for FOUR of us. Regardless, the facial skin products had a delicious smell. I would have never imagined that a 4-star spa would ever carry soap from a budget outlet. Included on the edge of the sink was soap branded from the dollar store. Third, the steam room had a weird smell, so I avoided it.įinally, the kicker was when I utilized the restroom. A fresh cup of gourmet coffee does seem like a given amenity at a place advertised as 4-star. I did select a styrofoam cup and poured myself a cup of joe. It seemed strange to me that there was a regular coffee pot there, as opposed to a Keurig machine. Second, there is a relaxation room upstairs where you can comfortably wait to be called. I also feel that this policy could have been explained to me on the phone when I initially booked, so that I wasn't caught off-guard. I asked the lady, "What if my service is not good?" She replied, "Then you tell me." I personally feel that giving the gratuity in advance gives no incentive for the service provider to do anything more than average.and this is exactly what I experienced. When I arrived at the spa for check-in, I was told that I was required to pay the 20% gratuity upfront. The phone operator was friendly and there was a person available on the date and time that I requested. Again, I found the services to be just adequate for a few reasons:įirst, I called in advance to schedule my appointments. Just recently, I received a gift card and was excited to retry, to see if it was better. In fact, I went to the Contour Day Spa several years ago and found it to be average. It is a well-established provider since it has been at this location for a long while. The Contour Day Spa looks very elegant and grandiose when you drive up to this business. Since money wasnt the issue a discount was nice but did not give me the stress relief i needed. I asked about the standards of care for pedicures he didnt know. I told him about the chair which he had no idea. I told him about my experience and was told he would give me a corporate rate. I will say that when i paid i spoke with a white man with brown hair and eyes. Especially when this is considered a treat and self care for most women. No customer should have to tell the tech how to do their job. The whole experience was so disappointing and underwhelming. Nor was the much needed relief and have my minimal expectation was not met. She did not trim the skin around the top of my toes. Furthermore when asked her to file down the top of the nails were some are thickened, it seemed was another alien concept. Which seemed beyond her comprehension to the point I asked the lady next to me to show her toe nails to my tech. I repeatedly ask for her to cut my nails shorter. I went to Contour Day Spa in Plantation Florida for a pedicure. If you've been using KAYAK successfully up until now, try closing your browser and starting again. In my experience and thats getting and going to spas all over. Please send us a message and we'll try to figure out what went wrong. Probably something about the web browser you are using made KAYAK think you are a bot. They tend to try to cram large suitcases in the overhead bin, and they prattle on about celebrities they know while you are trying to watch the movie. For example, we don't want bots running about trying to book airline tickets. Bots are generally a good thing, but some web pages are for humans only. KAYAK uses bots to search for travel deals. Search engines like Google use robots to build up search results. What is a bot?Ī bot, or robot, or crawler is software that visits web sites and collects data from them without a human present. If you are seeing this page, it means that KAYAK thinks you are a "bot," and the page you were trying to get to is only useful for humans.
